Shortly after I joined Redland, the company merged with Republic of Communications, Pixels, and Reason – and became Kaimana. A new brand was created and I got to handle the motion design for it. The motion plays on the brand mark shape, and imitates the motion of the sea (Kaimana translates to the power of the sea). The aim was to be minimalist and reserved in the motion itself, and use color and texture to add impact.

The brand is shifting as the company finds its new shape, and so I'm experimenting with the motion as well. For instance, lately I've been testing how 3D might be used:
