I'm in a band, and since it consists of a marketing director, art director and motion designer (me), visuals have been almost as important to us as the music. As the art director is doing most of the music production, I'm in charge of the visuals - though we all of course collaborate on it all.
The visuals usually have something of the past and the present, as does our music: for instance modern motion graphics mixed with vintage color palette, or using a projector and a LED screen as light sources yet shooting images on 35mm film.
